Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Guidelines for Contributors

Abasyn Journal of Social Sciences is a biannual publication of Abasyn University. The journal is a dedicated publication for scholarly work in the field of business and management and covers areas of marketing, human resource management, finance, entrepreneurship, business ethics, administration, corporate governance, organizational behavior, and IT in business.

Guidelines for Authors

  1. Abasyn Journal of Social Sciences invites the following types of contributions.
    1. Research Papers
    2. Case Studies and Discussion Papers
    3. Literature Reviews
  2. Manuscripts should be submitted to the Editor/Deputy Editor or on the website of the Abasyn Journal of Social Sciences.
  3. The text should be double spaced with normal margins.
  4. All figures and tables should be placed within the text, with clear numbering for tables and figures.
  5. The first page of the manuscript should contain the following information.
    1. Title of the Paper
    2. The Name(s), affiliations(s) of the author(s) and Email Address
  6. The Second Page shall contain the Abstract not exceeding 300 words and a maximum of 5 keywords.
  7. Manuscripts shall only contain references cited in the text.
  8. The research paper shall follow proper APA 6th Edition Guidelines, The guidelines shall be followed both for the text and references at the end of the Paper. Detailed Guidelines for APA are available on the Journal Website (http://ajss.abasyn.edu.pk).
  9. It is assumed that the paper submitted is an original unpublished work and it has not already been published or submitted for publication elsewhere.
  10. The articles submitted will be checked for Plagiarism.
  11. Initially, the article will be reviewed internally, after initial review the article will be sent for review to external referees. Papers will be reviewed through anonymous peer reviews.

Format All files should be submitted as a Word document
Article Length Articles should be between 3000 and 5000 words in length.
Article Title A title of not more than eight words should be provided.

Articles submitted to the journal should not have been published before in their current or substantially similar form, or be under consideration for publication with another journal. The editor may make use of Plagiarism Software for checking the originality of submissions received.
